Jani Salomaa commented on Mehr panzers! for Iron Sky: Operation Highjump

Naah - Red, black and white in the background should be nazi enough. The green Panzer III is just camouflage... It could work in black and white, too. But i will not differ too much from the awesome original design. I should probably make "triumfes" ...

I love those colours! But there may be a danger people might mistake them for an Italian flag?

I'll go first. The design's based on a Catalan or Basque resistance poster from the Spanish civil war (the second pic). I loved the crazy theme when i saw it, and would love to have in the game. I admit the design isn't the best ever, but i'm running a ...

Herman Hesse's 'Das Glasperlenspiel' (The Glass Bead Game) from 1943 is definitely one of the best i've read, and although it's pretty anti-nazi (preferring an intellectual meritocracy as form of society), it should most def be on board. Player's line: "...

Bruno: We'll have to see about that, I promise we'll consider it, since there has been some talk about maybe including improvised melee weapons. :P

Matti Delahay commented on Portable jammer for Iron Sky: Operation Highjump

Sounds interesting. Robots and turrets and the like probably won't be in a very central role in the game (only a couple of them in the whole base), but I don't doubt we could think of use for this, especially for the stealth-intensive campaign. :)

Why would he be in the base? Where did he get the uniform? This is one weird idea. :D

This would make technical sense, and it could also be a good gameplay element.

Something ocurred to me when rereading my "radio controled saucer drone" post. The idea of using a portable jammer to disrupt radio commands could be used to deal with autoturrets (although, being turrets, they probably would use wire guidance, but there co...

I was browsing around and looks like the rules from the reference link are actually fiction from the writer Josef Škvorecký - sounds like he wrote some pretty interesting things too. Anyways, looks like the band is pretty certain to appear in the game si...

I would say OS is unlikely. Modding tools remain a possibility, but whether or not we have time to implement those without other areas of the game suffering must be considered carefully.

We've been talking about including something like the Vampir (the WWII era German IR device you mentioned) as a weapon upgrade in the game, the heat-resistant barrels etc might also be a nice addition to the upgrades list. :)
