First shots fired!

Yesterday in Tampere we filmed the first shots of Iron Sky that will end up in the actual film. No, this wasn’t the start of the main shoots, that is still in the future. This was one day spent in front of the green screen shooting marching Moon Nazi troops and other material. We will use these shots to determine the final look, feel and mood of the movie and to iron out the kinks of our effects and CGI workflow.

Looking for extras in Tampere (Tuesday 23.3.)

We are looking for extras to participate in a test shoot for Iron Sky. The shoot will be held next tuesday (23.3.) in Tampere. We're looking for men of military age and physique and who know how to march.

Wow, this would've been interesting to participate. Unfortunately Tampere is too far away (and I have to go to school). :)
Sounds like fun! Too bad I am not male, able to march, nor living in Tampere. Life is cruel! :P

You have a costume designer from Farscape? Way to go! I for one find the aesthetics of Farscape wonderful. (When it comes to SF-series, Farscape beats them all in my book, on a lot more than that one account.)

There could be a live feed on some scenes, like when you shot background action, or some action which is more or less "known".
Well, the main shoot is still some time away. And then we have to decide if a live feed would spoil too much... But maybe sometime.
:) That's the way to go!
So... How long do we need to wait for any live feed from the occasion?
