In This Room > Blog: Casting and IndieGoGo

Just a quick note to say that we're currently in a fairly advanced stage of casting and have some really interesting actors lined up for the lead roles. I hope we'll be able to start making announcements about this by late next week!

Also, we've started up an IndieGoGo site which you can view at:

http://www.indiegogo.com/In-This-Room-

Please sign up and support the project! Incidentally, this is also a great place for independent filmmakers and filmmaking fans to be a part of if you haven't heard of it. The emphasis at IndieGoGo is more fundraising than sourcing talent and completing tasks, so it works very harmoniously with Wreckamovie!

We've now raised approximately £700 (approx $1000) through our own channels, and have most of the equipment, as well as the location and a lot of props etc, sourced already. We're now looking for an additional $1000-2500 just to help us with the running costs (things such as catering, additional equipment hire, transport etc.). You can donate from as little as $10 and every penny will really count!

So please, if you can, spread the word and help us to push this production all the way ready for our January shoot! Thanks again for all your help and we look forward to keeping you updated!

In This Room > Fundraising! > More details please... :)
'In This Room' is a no-budget production aiming to raise approximately £4,000 for all prep, production and post-production costs. It's possible for us to shoot this feature film for such a low amount for the following reasons: - In This Room is an experimental and largely improvised film being shot over two consecutive days in one location. - The cast and crew will be working for profit participation, meaning that upfront costs are kept to a minimum. - A lot of the equipment needed to produce the film is already owned or can be sourced by the filmmakers. The £4,000 will be spent primarily in the following areas: - Catering - Transport and Accommodation (for cast and crew) - Equipment Hire (particularly lights and sound equipment) - Consumables We're now looking to raise this money in a variety of different ways. In addition to our own traditional sources we're also asking people to consider investing in the film. Investments can be low, from around £50, and investors would get the following: - Profit participation - An invite to the film's premiere - Full on-screen credit - Regular updates about the progress of the film . This is an opportunity to become a profit participant on a feature film for very little! Although investing in film is always a risky business, we believe this risk is offset by the high quality of the crew involved, the fact that the film is a feature (which means its opportunity for distribution and marketing is considerably higher than a short or speculative TV idea. If you would like to know more about this opportunity please feel free to contact me at harthinianstudios@ntlworld.com Thanks, Adam

Wreckamovie is more about making films rather than funding them, that's why these items in productions are "tasks".

But if you're going to ask for investment, could you give some details of how you plan to win the investors' money back? That might help convince people to stump up the cash?

Good luck with the film, let us know how it goes. :)

Adam Harvey created a new production "In This Room"

A Woman and Man awake to find themselves in a large room cluttered with seemingly random objects. With no memory of who they are, the Man and Woman soon realise they are locked inside the room, for reasons unknown.

With the only clue to their previous lives being a wedding ring on each of their fingers, the Man and Woman embark on a quest to discover who they are and why they find themselves here. As each object in the room begins to bring back memories and experiences from their lives, the Man and Woman begin piecing together fragments of a broken past, and take the journey into finding out why the are In This Room...
