Insanity Update Nr.2 - August 2010

Posted August 13, 2010 by Angela R. 2 Thumb-ups

Once more hello to our imaginary internet friends!

It's been a couple of months since the last update - but despair not, because the production is not dead! Just, we have been busy busy busy with organizing and attending a number of events, specifically:

6-18 July: WAM Festival in Jyväskylä

5-8 August: Assembly 2010 in Helsinki

You can see some detailed reviews by Kris here:

And here:

So, what is next?

Well, heck... some REST!

A mountain retreat awaits in the Alps, for two weeks of rest and meditation (and with little access to amenities such as a cable internet connection).

Then, in September, more "Real Life" busy times, including packing a household and moving abroad!

But that of course doesn't mean that people shouldn't keep posting shots and share ideas, alright? ^^'

We'll be back!

And while you wait, if you did not already do it, feel free to subscribe to Insanity Streak's channels to stay up to date and to show support for the production:

Insanity Update Nr.1 - June 2010

Posted June 07, 2010 by Angela R. 4 Thumb-ups

Welcome all to the club, dear imaginary internet friends!

This production was created just one month ago, and it is brilliant to see how it has taken life from a spark. We currently have 12 members and no doubt that more will join our ranks as our voices raise in unison singing for freedom to express ourselves despite the fact we may occasionally come across as madmen and lunatics.

So what's been going on?

Graphics: A lot of excellent artwork was submitted. Specifically, two concept covers were sketched upon entries by Luisa Compobassi and Jani Salomaa.

If you want to comment or give a shot of your own, the place is:

Music: Sami Laulajainen has announced to have started working on concept tracks for "Bride", "Insanity", "Within" and "Nightmare" which he will submit ASAP. Really looking forward to hear!

Movies: Thanks to the contributions by Jaakko Lilja and Richard Caldwell, we are putting together a long list of movies to watch for inspiration. The first we have reviewed was "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest".

Knowing others which you feel we should check out?
The place to tell us is: http://www.wreckamovie.com/tasks/show/1325

For the rest, we have been busy researching which type of sound would best suit the band and decided to simply keep an open approach, as we clearly do not wish for any boundaries or limitations when we feel like going out of our mind...

As a last item, since our planet continues its yearly journey around the nearest star, it may be that some of us fly to better places to enjoy some well-deserved rest from their hectic life. So if you happen to see something mind-bogglingly out of the ordinary, do not forget to make a picture for us all to share!

And if you miss us while out there on vacation, do not forget to keep in touch through Facebook or listen to our cooperative playlist on Spotify.

Oh wow, well done Angela. I missed this as I was stressing out over the festival back in June, but looking good!
