This creature is a predator? Or just an alien creature?

We'd like to take submissions on sketches of our alien. This design will be used for a 3D model of our CGI character in the movie. The creature needs to be about the size of a medium size dog. It can have either 2 or 4 legs yet somewhat humanoid shaped. In the story, this creature comes out of an object approximately the size of a 2 litter bottle. Once out of the bottle the creature can grow a to about the size of a medium sized dog. Later in the story, the alien uses the DNA obtained from our human character to shape shift into her. So this creature needs to look more intelligent than just a wild animal. Yet it has to be ruthless and frightening. Hopefully that's enough information to get some preliminary sketches. Let me know if you have any questions.

Living in Hollywood, I have met a lot of people and made some great connections. I believe if we can make this short film really great it has a chance to bring us all recognition. I'll submit it to many large film festivals. I also have a great lead actress (who is sort of already famous and lives here in Hollywood) in mind but would like to get the post-production really solid and started before approaching her.

I'm new to this site, so forgive me if I missed finding this information, but do you have any sort of description of the bug for which you would like some concept art created? If not, can you provide that, or maybe some descriptions of what it does in the movie?

Can you draw a rough sketch on paper ? If you can, I can look at it and make whatever you want. I use ZBrush and can convert it to OBJ or Blender format if you need. But it helps me to make the model from a rough sketch.

Theodore, I can't draw to save my life, haha. There is a task for sketches and the design of the alien but so far no one has submitted anything. So I put a request in to a friend of mine who is a great graphic artist and comic book sketch artist to see if he can help. I'll see if he can come up with a sketch soon.

There are 3 distinct shots that require our alien creature to be in. We are looking for one or more talented CGI guys to create the creature for the movie. The 3 specific shots are: Quick descriptions: 1. Creature's face partially visible from looking into a hallway from a bedroom lit by moonlight. Our character sits up in bed while staring out into the dark hallway. Slowly the gleam from the eyes and the face of the creature becomes visible (from the moonlight shinning in) as it gets closer to the bedroom threshold and it's face lit up, our character screams and the creature lets out an eerie scream/howl at the same time over powering her scream. It then lunges towards her and lands on her bed as she falls off the bed. 2. After the lunge, the creature looks at her as she looks up at it from the ground. It vomits bile on her. She then runs out of the room covered in bile into the bathroom and locks the door behind her. 3. Our character sees the creature in the living room on the floor flopping around as if it is having a seizure. These are the 3 creature CGI shots we need. New task: Creature CGI

There are 3 distinct shots that require our alien creature to be in. We are looking for one or more talented CGI guys to create the creature for the movie. The 3 specific shots are:

Quick descriptions:

1. Creature's face partially visible from looking into a hallway from a bedroom lit by moonlight. Our character sits up in bed while staring out into the dark hallway. Patrick, thank you. Yeah, we'll probably do something similar to that the day of shooting. Sometimes once on set and you see how everything looks, small changes like that make the story better or in this case more scary. As far as the alien screaming, it's not so much of a scream but a very disturbing sound it makes just before it lunges towards her. I figured the sound guys can have some fun with this and come up with something that just sounds scary. Again, we will test it both ways and see which comes out more effective. Thanks for your feedback!!!

Hi Pasha - nice script. The only thing I might change is the moment Natalie sees the alien. The alien is not initially looking at Natalie as she slowly realises there's something moving in the hallway. Then she might give a little gasp and the alien suddenly turns its head, revealing its face, then she screams. I think the alien might also be more scary if it doesn't also scream. Anyway just my thoughts. Cheers, Patrick.
