GPK 2 under planning. English translation for GPK?
| Posted October 16, 2010 by Daniel Saarimäki 1 Thumb-up |
We are currently planning GPK 2. It will have a lot better story, better models, better compositing and better sounds (everything else will be better than the video quality). When the head character (currently no name) goes after the gold floating in the space, he will face weird space pirates, the hi-tec machines of his new gunner and a lot more!
I'm still waiting for the english translation. Kris has hidden it somewhere.

It's live now. There is one long sentence wich doesn't show well because of its lenght. I can't really cut it because that part goes so fastly.
Don't worry, the version I sent you won't change unless you ask me to change it.
I already stated making the texts to if you change something, you have to tell me.
Sorry Daniel, had a lot on my plate recently, will get it finished. It is done, but I need to make it sound better.
Woohoo! Sounds like fun.

New poster made. It's something quick. There are stars on the backround, but they are so small...

Galaksin Paskin keikka is now READY. I'm uploading it to youtube and a link is coming here soon.
A task for subtitles is going to be opened soon when I get my script fixed and movie uploaded. It won't be opened today.

That's about everything you have to understand XD
I cannot understand anything but a number of swearwords... but it feels just like the early Star Wreck videos, hence I absolutely love it. 8)
There's still one thing to do: Subtitles!
I will keep it as post production for a while. And yes, this was fast. We tried to make this as fast as possible.
Link released!
That was fast! The info slate still stays post production. :)
congratulations

Nah... :)
Alternatively, you could go with:
"Ascolti bene. Il mio cannoniere abituale è in malattia, e non posso fare nulla con l'idiota che lo ha sostituito"
I had to make it like this:
0:27 Ascolti bene, Signor Controllore. Il mio cannoniere abituale è in malattia...
0:30 non sono in grado di fare nulla con l'idiota che lo ha sostituito.
I first tried to make it like this:
0:27 Ascolti bene...
non sono...
It's a line break, but I had to do it by adding two lines instead of one and splitting the text to them.
Erhm... actually, it seems you managed to add a line break, at 00:27? I am confused...
Anyhow, it seems readable enough. So I will go ahead and share it. 8)
Done! None of the sentences are too long now. They are just hyper fast in some parts now... I'm speaking too fast in this film. I realised it just after we had completed making this. I'm going to be more patient in GPK 2.
I added line breaks to the subtitles and it didn't work. Youtube ignores them. I have to split those lines.
I have a good studio mic next to me, but it just feels so impossible to walk a meter, turn my mixer on, walk another meter to my computer, open script and audacity and press the red record button :P
Oh, yeah. That one. I still have to record a couple of sentences, too. Problem is, I need a new microphone, and I keep forgetting to get one... *blush*
Don't say "if you had some spare time". I have decided to record my plingon role for the Stick Wreck on my free time and it's still waiting...
Ah! Well, if you had some spare time to test whether it can be done, I think that the Italian viewers would highly benefit from it. 8)
I haven't tested. SE splits them by default. I have to check that and edit the subs a bit...
Isn't there a way to split them on two lines, one above the other? I know that has been done with the Snowblind subs...
I used Subtitle Edit http://www.nikse.dk/se/
I noticed those long sentences. I can split them, but that will make the text to change really quickly. English sentences were a bit smaller. ;)
I see that contrary to Kalle, you did not have problems with the Italian accented letters. What program did you use for the subtitles conversion?
On the other hand, there seem to be problems with a couple of very long sentences which should probably be split in two lines.
If you could fix that, I will ensure I spread the word about about the video within the Star Trek Italian club. I am sure a lot of Star Wreck lovers there will love your creation. ^^'
