Gotta Go [music video] > Storyboard! > Great example of collaborative music video by: Peter Vesterbacka
I think this music video by the Japanese group Sour (smart in Japanese I guess) is a great example of what can be made with modern tools and the power of the fan community:

Would be really cool to do something similar, ie involve people all over the planet in some form or shape. Let's make something different and not just another music video. Something that can only be made by using the Wreckamovie community.
Ideas?

Agree, truly mindboggling and as you say, just shows that there are some original ideas out there even though it feels like they are few and far between sometimes.

Wow this is so awesome, thanks for posting this! And I was afraid the world had run out of original ideas... Really mind-boggeling stuff!!!
Gotta Go [music video] > Choose Version > Gotta Go (full version) Short version (3:38) or extended album mix (10:00), almost a short film?

Here's the full version of "Gotta Go" for anyone who would like to consider a longer visual production; this is a lo-fi mp3, but I can provide a high quality copy upon request.

Gotta Go [music video] > Storyboard! > Reply to Simo by: Christopher Albanese
(Should replies be comments or Shots?)
Wow, I gotta say, having no idea what could be conceived, this is certainly good -- original, lots of surreal potential, good juxtaposition of theses (games & knives), very vivid! Already puts me in mind of other videos I adore....
Before I babble too much, first let me give you the long version to hear; the long version is all three parts of the original mix (the edited version is a mix of part two).
Here's the link (I have it hosted on my Bandcamp site so I don't need to worry about bandwidth!): http://tomorrowsman.bandcamp.com/track/gotta-go-toximix
Cheers!

(Better to put replies in comments)
Great to see your project here, would be good to get a few more music videos created here on Wreckamovie. Also, some of the other productions here might need some songs for their soundtracks.
Gotta Go [music video] > Storyboard! > Reply to Simo Surrealist skew, or hot chicks in jello?

I don't really have the talent for drawing a storyboard for you, but I have an idea. Yet,no means of getting it done for you (yet). I would also like to hear the longer version and think that there could be two videos made: a shorter and a longer one.
It's kind of dark, but so I think is the song too. It can be made surrealistic but with movies it's really about the visuals and how you get them to be. ->
SHORTER VERSION:
A grey / dark room (an empty factory hall or some other kind of big empty, ugly space). Let's show some of that space. There's a character sitting on a old chair in front of a mirror. The look of the character should be inspired by the picture of your album cover.
He/She stares herself in the eye. Montage of her face, so that, between each shot there appears another bleeding scar on her painted white face. Her face is blank, emotionless. She covers the scars up with white paint.
She takes a glass of red wine from somewhere. Drinks it. Her lip bleeds a little.
Let's show a little more of the space here. There are things: playing cards, croquet mallets, balls and in some place we see a glimpse of a knife. Maybe also some shots of an outdoor place (woods, maybe a place where people have dumped their old appliances etc.)
She gets up. Walks into the other end of the room where there is an old telephone. She kneels next to it. She rolls a very long number on it (maybe something with a meaning?). She starts yelling the song into the phone (a little out-of-synch, twitching):
”All those feeling their days are numbered,
and hearing just one verse: ...”
Happiness-creatures appear around her. They are wearing brigtly colored clothes with a lot of cloth hanging and swirling as they dance. They are wearing masks. Maybe the room could be lighted up too round here? Some of them wave their arms around (like squids) as the song ends, but one holds it's hand on it's face, as if laughing.
THE LONGER VERSION:
(I don't know where these fit before I can hear the longer version:)
Would add the happiness-creatures playing games and partying in the room prior to the character arriving. They also place the chair, mirror, the phone. And later pour a glass of wine for the character and give it to her.
