LEV Torpedo #19 - Part II ready.

This thing really got off wild and fury. Im using Celtx preproduction software and just hitted The end on script version 4.0. Total pagecount is 187 and there will be a version 5 with few extentions. :)
Starting to feel like G. Lucas with my massive space opera.
At the moment I have 3-4 hours worth of script, so decisions must be made weather to release the thing in two parts or a massive double feature. The characters will be mostly the same, both parts will be filmed at the same time.
This would also be a good way to blackm.... collect cash. "Do you want to see more?"
I'll be activating my presence In wreckamovie now that the main writing is done.. Be hearing from me soon

LEV Torpedo #18 - the empthyness of nothingness

Last three months have been frustrating and rewarding for me in many ways that almost none relate to the LEV -project. The halt in LEV was due to some other projects, work, theather and film related that I had to attend to. Now the focus, or the aim of the torpedo, is back in the LEV project.
First of all we wellcome new comers to our team, feel free to browse the tasks, comment or contact me directly to share ideas of your own.
It's been almost a year, since the project Leviathan was bublished. I'm paisting together something for the birthday. Let's see, what happens, keep posted.
In production : I've been learning about the money. It's tough to get. But on the light side I've gotten many things for free. I just might have a huge bluscreen studio for a very small investment. So at the moment I have the locations and the set building could start seriously.
CGI : is mostly done in wam. If you are a blenderfreak or a pixel-modifier Please feel free to check in and participate.

Story : One reason for the halt is story production. A decision was made: I'll have to make a double-lenght-feature - film with the price of a very small car, If I want to put everything into the story. As a result, you will get an epic picture.
We must also make the short film Auckland about the aliens coming with almost no money what so ever.
Challenge accepted.
Now I'm returnig to prepaire the birthday present.

P.S. The LEVIATHAN production crew congratulates Ironsky for the wrap. Well done old chaps.

T.H.E. Leviathan is starting to take shape. And I like the outcome. Thanks Jeremy, Daniel, Markus And David.
The link to Renderfarm.fi was done, and one animation was uploaded and rendered. It's a gravlens test flight.
http://www.renderfarm.fi/animations/841
The animation didn't use the full potential of the serverfarm, but the plans are to continue the usage of the service. Thank you guys at RF.
One major decision had to be made. Some serious cutting of the story. So the sequel is writing it self, on the other hand I'll try to kill my franchise to the first film. I don't want any loose ends if the sequel never comes to life. I dont like films, like Eragorn, that don't really end. It'll be interesting I can promise you that.
The other major decision is that the animation will be released under CC license, (mandatory in Renderfarm) maybe the entire film. Suggestions and discussion about the license type may commence here.

You are still invited to join the development of the film. The Tasks are now clearly tittled.

Until we meet again

LEV Torpedo #15 - The end.

SCRIPT
Two little words, but when you write "the end" to your fourth version of the 100 page long script, that you have planned for a year and written half a year, I can say the feeling is satisfying.
There will be twicks here and there, but now I know who dies and who gets to live. I'm quite pleased with the outcome of the story, we just have to keep a script meeting and I'll know more.
The film is currently in PRE-PRODUCTION
Script 95% ready
The 3D model of the ship and torpedo are coming up nicely, I'm about to take some blender 3D software courses. If you have any good tutorials for 2,53beta, I'll be hapy to view them.
We did a teaser in a bit of a haste, so the quality does not live up to my high standards. But it's a Fan - teaser, so it can be viewed on the main "info" page.
Casting date is not yet set, I'll make an info packet before and a nice animation sequence that I'll be using in the film. I'll try to lure pro and semipro actors to our production. Let's see how that goes.
YOUR HELP wanted :
3D, 2D, prop and footage tasks are open, go check them out.

LEV Torpedo #15 - commence the writing
| Posted August 12, 2010 by Sami Laulajainen 1 Thumb-up |
The (final [-hopefully]) changes to the plot have now been done. The v3 of the script is now a mixed bundle of sticky notes, cut & glue, copy/paste and whole lot of more. I'll be making a v3.5 before I'll start sending it to anyone.
I'll be writing the v 3.5 from scratch to eliminate copy / paste relative weirdness. This might take a little longer, but in my mind it'll be worth it.
Thank you for all the feedback - I'll see what I can do with them.

Not a bad job :D
Yes I did and I didn't like the idea. If I wanted to play with books, I'd be librarian :)
187 pages... Never thought about writing a book?
