A dog and a christmas tree > Spreading to the internet > Lovely Christmas Card! by: (null)
This is a nice little Xmas film to accompany the season, well done for getting it done so quickly and sticking to your deadline.
I've posted this on my Facebook account, and explained a little bit about how the film was made too.

"This was actually better than I tought, but because of the deadline, it has some problems that could have been fixed easily if I just would have had more time!"
I felt exactly the same way about my mouse animation. I only had 2 and a half days, and worked right up to the last minute.
If I had more time I could have fixed a lot of stuff, but the time ran out.
"Overall, this project was a succeed. I'm going to holiday now for some time. "
The animation's great, enjoy your Christmas! :)

This was actually better than I tought, but because of the deadline, it has some problems that could have been fixed easily if I just would have had more time!
At the very beginning when the dog looks down, the neck mesh goes into the body mesh because of deforming. This could have been easily avoided by making some shape keys but I just didn't have enough time. Walk and run cycles are bit unfinished and the leg movement is overall a bit weird. Head movements are great tough. I just had to move two bones so it was easy. I made those eye blinks at the last 5 minutes before rendering.
Also, there was one funny problem too. I just noticed how much my old computer sucks. THAT FILE WAS SO HUGHE THAT MY COMPUTER DIDN'T SHOW IT IN REAL TIME AND WHEN I RENDERED IT, IT LOOKED GRAZY. I had to slow it twice to half speed wich caused the frame per second count to go really down. When I converted the film from avi to wmv, the decoder fixed most of that problem.
Overall, this project was a succeed. I'm going to holiday now for some time. Bye! :)

A dog and a christmas tree > Spreading to the internet > Lovely Christmas Card! This film is now completed!
The animating file (free to use) can be found at http://www.wuala.com/Finnboy11/A%20dog%20and%20a%20christmas%20tree/Pohja_working.blend
Final video can be seen on youtube and I will also attach it to this shot sometime. Few deform problems and other problems turned out while rendering, but it looks fine. Now only thing left to do is to send this video to your friends and wish them happy Xmas!
Edit: WAM don't support wmv files so I can't upload it.

Thanks. That was made really quickly so the quality wasn't so good as I were thinking. One problem... I can't upload the .wmv file. "file type not supported"
And, again, thanks to WAM!
