Looking for a film title logo to incorporate the custom spade (as seen in current logo), the red circle and the words DEUCE OF SPADES. Logo to be used on the film Poster, DVDs, Tshirts, film cards, and promo material. Note that the film is a drama with quite a bit of substance. The typeset should reflect that, and preferably be fifties period correct. FEEL FREE TO REDO THE SPADE GRAPHICS FROM SCRATCH IF YOU CAN PRODUCE BETTER QUALITY. Look and proportions of the spade should, however, remain unchanged, as the spades is seen in many scenes in thefilm and is painted on thecar. I would like to keep the "old, warn out, scratched up paint" feel the letters our current logo has.

I like the feeling of the second version here, the type of the letters is something I could imagine to have origin in the 50's.

DEUCE OF SPADES > CGI - need to add a tree to a scene > More technical info?
by: Kalle Max Hofmann

To evaluate how much work it will be, it would be cool if you could provide the following info: - How many shots are there that need the tree - What is their total runtime - How much of that time is the tree obstructed by foreground elements - Is there camera movement and if yes what type (dolly/pan/zoom/handheld) - What resolution is the material? Cheers, Kalle-Max :-)

Hi Ian, forgive me for being ignorant, but I am not sure I understand your question; What is "comped in" and what is "camera matched" ? the tree is very small cause it is in the far distance. It is supposed to be at the very end of the 1/4 mile dragstrip. So basically it doesn't need much details. I am not sure what is the best way to go about it, but I can locate photos of that oak tree for you guys. Please let me know how you want to approach this.

DEUCE OF SPADES > TITLE LOGO / SPADE LOGO > One suggestion

or is this too much like an old cliche?

Thank you for making these comments. The idea of the use of the spade -element was another in my mind as I read first that task explanation...printing on t-shirts, cards, mugs etc. And I got to admit I am not a pro in picture manipulation, far from that...
