Day After The Revolution > Writers for the Hip Hop webseries > Interesting story
by: Angela Shafer

I'd like to know more about it. I'd like to know why you've chosen the hip hop characters to focus on. The theme of working together toward a common goal is always a good one, and we could use that right now. I was a heavy metal chick in high school, if you need character development ideas.

How often do you check this site? I'm glad they send notices to my email since I don't check nearly as much as I did when I first signed up. If you'd like to start collaborating through email, just let me know. My email address is yourpalgigi@hotmail.com I think you have a really good, original story here. Maybe we could collaborate internetally on others, as well.

She is Sterlings ticket into a new world. Her personality is very charming and she is a flirt. When the rave is invaded she gets lost and the audience is unsure if she survives.

I guess she is one of the people that would list her relationship status on Facebook as It's complicated? ;-) Just a thought, what about approaching this through their Facebook profiles? What would they look like? And what would their tweets look like?

A real life DJ could also be used in promoting the film & series, that way the gigs he/she would throw around the world could be DATR themed. And of course those could be featured in the movie, making the gigs a way to contribute to the production, ie if you go to the gig, you might get yourself into the movie. That could be pretty cool + an very easy way for lots of people to get involved + contribute. Rave sourcing;-)

Day After The Revolution > The opening montage set to music... > I'd be happy to do this.
by: Douglas G. Oxborrow

I can produce this shot from public media access. Just a few questions: 1) How long of a segment is this? 2) What type of music? Do you have the score or shall I dub my own in? 3) Do you see this as actual clean media or enhanced such as would be seen on a TV (occasional snow, distortion, lines, etc)? 4) Is this segment passive to the audience or is it an in-your-face push of imaging and sound? 5) What is the timeline? Need it in days, weeks, ? 6) Is there any existing media or production footage that I will need to include? Just let me know and I'll get started on it. -Douglas

How about if I take a week to put "something" together for you with the appropriate narration and score - yet the audio would not be able to be used in the movie. This will at least get some of our grey-matter stirred up and help provide a more solidified direction for the real deal. Kapeesh?

it is true. lets get it moving along...I have some bare bone ideas like Jaymes is a hip hop cat who is getting into the land of the radicals/revolutionaries. Don Roberto finds himself being looked at as a political leader, despite he saw his music as inspired thought- just meant to be self expression however the masses took to it.

SWEET! That would be awesome. 1) You know I don't really know yet, and won't until it is recorded but I figure 5 minutes at the most. 2) I do not have a score yet but will talk to someone about recording it. 3) Clean and enhanced, depends on the piece of media. 4) It is in your face desolve the 4th wall make them a port of the film automatically! 5) There is no real timeline yet. I am in the middle of taking care of some personal items and need to concentrate on those first but let's start selecting pieces to use, etc. 6) Nope. I am thinking of doing some green screen work with the footage we find... 7) I will get you that with a score hopefully.

Just a quick afterthought. I should have included a number 7 item. I will need the recorded narration to put into this segment.
