And White Was The Night > One-liner > I'll try
Hi! Post production goes well and we are going to release the movie in 2010. Now we have marketing material under work. Problem is one-liner, and we are looking for great ideas! We have done many different versions, but none of them was good enought. So we need co-operation with one liner. Bring all your ideas, even if phrase don´t work, it might have something which could evolve to something totally different! Also new synopsis is now ready. All comments about it are welcome! Synopsis And White Was The Night is a film about making choices in extreme situations. It examines how the choices we did or didn’t make in the past affect the present. The film is set in the shady world of an international crime organization that reaches all the way from jungles of Colombia to suburbs of Finland and Russia. The story follows the fates of Antonio and Maria, two young Colombians, who come to Finland in search of better lives. Instead of future prospects they realize being caught in the middle of the organization’s internal struggle for power. Finding themselves in a foreign country without friends, money or passports Antonio and Maria are forced to fight back to survive. They have to face the dangers of the underworld but also their own traumas and nightmares of the past. The events unfold during one turbulent day and a white summer’s night. And White Was The Night crosses language, culture, and genre barriers creating an original and thought-provoking experience.

'flight from organized evil'
'flight to fight'
'when escape is not possible, confrontation remains'
'subject to the whims of organized crime'
'standing up to evil'
'standing up to the behemoth'
'standing their ground'
'standing their ground, then hightailing it'
'tangled in a web of violence and deceit'
'freedom obstructed by the mob'

...along those lines...

Fabienne Gschwind gave a shot "music from our old movie" for And White Was The Night

And White Was The Night > Have your song in the film! > music from our old movie
And White Was The Night will feature a radio show with music bits playing at various points during the film. We have most of the material recorded but would want to have more options for the music. Have you made music that could be used in the film? It would be fun to hear it! At this point we're looking all kinds of music that could be played on radio. No language restrictions :) The only requirement is that the music will have to be royalty free. Creative Commons is a great option :) -Mika

Hello

Here are some music pieces we used for our old movie (www.vuu.ch). Maybe you can find something usefull...

It's mostly pieces based on baroque or classical music, which have been changed. The instrument are "electronic" since I'm not staisfied with the "real"-instrument, which I have on my music-software.

If you like something, I can do you also a better quality then mp3.

Cheers
Fabienne

And White Was The Night > One-liner > Tough Cookie & The Sacrificial Lamp
by: Jack Malinowski

I really enjoyed the trailer and like the title very much. I think the 'geography of evil' is a terrific theme. The terrain's evil: no sacrifice ever amounts to any good. There's a crisis of faith. Action. And White Was The Night 'As it should be.'

If 'evil' it must be then why not: AND WHITE WAS THE NIGHT for evil

And White Was The Night > One-liner > More ideas..
by: Anna Krokfors

A system will occasionally discard its parts. Choices are sacrifices. / **Every choice is a sacrifice.** In any system evil is inherent. He who fights monsters.. The past and future are happening now. Ever had the feeling your choices were made for you? More.. favorites in bold. **You can beat a man. You can't beat the system.** / You can be a man. You can't be a system. Geography of evil (intertextual reference that kinda sucks though.. it works better in Finnish: Pahan maantiede, referencing Paha maa and Pelon maantiede) And bright was the light Into their hour of darkness Make your choice -- Nothing left to choose from No choice means no chance When you choose to lose Being born means choosing to die

True, but might sound a bit too light hearted. The trailer looks very serious, and You can't beat the man could be a comedy tagline. Let's see what Mika & Ulla of the production team think.

"As it should be" or just "As it should" sounds good, but guess we need to get the evil in the one liner somehow.

And White Was The Night > One-liner > Evil deeds
by: Peter Vesterbacka

*AWWTN - Evil deeds* would be short and sweet. Or *AWWTN - evil deeds of men* Was also thinking that would be nice to do something along the lines of the Google do no evil tagline. Maybe *ATTWN - doing evil* could work. Or the opposite *AWWTN - do no good* or *ATTWN - doing no good* We have only seen the trailer and read the synopsis, so I'm sure you guys know if any of these fit or don't.

Or maybe even The evil of man .. Hmm.. now it sounds like a horror flick?
