NEVADA (Fan Film of EL ETERNAUTA)
EL ETERNAUTA is the best-known sci-fi graphic novel written in the Spanish language. Its creator is the masterfully brilliant Hector G. Oesterheld, an Argentine writer who unfortunately is among the many "desaparecidos" (missing) of Argentina's last dictatorship.
EL ETERNAUTA is the story an alien invasion of Buenos Aires, that starts off with a deadly toxic snowfall. As the plot unfolds, a group of make-shift urban heroes led by Juan Salvo - aka EL ETERNAUTA - join a resistence army to fight the invaders. With plot twists at every turn, Salvo and his friends figure out clever ways to fight back against the invasion carried out by exotic creatures who are remotely controlled from an unknown location.
Throughout the story, Salvo's only motivation is meet up again with his wife and daughter who got left behind. But at the end, they get separated and Salvo gets sent into a parrellel time-space continuum where he becomes a traveler of eternity. Where he becomes... EL ETERNAUTA.
Action, mystery, suspense and a very original take on the "alien invasion" theme.

NEVADA is our fan film to homage Oesterheld's masterpiece. "NEVADA" means snowfall in Spanish.
Logline for NEVADA: The same snow, the same city. New heroes fight back and a traveler of eternity returns.
In NEVADA, a team of journalists, led by international correspondent LAURA LYNCH covering dramatic events in Buenos Aires are among the few lucky to survive the deadly snowfall. She and her producer get a strange distress signal. With nothing to lose, they follow it.
As they travel in their news truck deep into a Buenos Aires that is literally dead, the journalists, meet up with another group of survivors hiding beneath a shopping mall. They too have received the signal and decide to join LYNCH in the search.
At every turn of the journey, they must fight giant insect creatures and mammoth-sized monsters, as well as clever multiple-fingered humanoids called Manos. They survive, but each time, there are less of them.
As they get near the signal, they get help from a team of battle-hardened troops. Together they help coordinate an air strike on the Alien stronghold that sits above the location of the signal.
LAURA - the last sole survivor - is surprised to see that beneath the alien base they just took out is a seemingly normal subway tunel. But as she's about to leave... suddenly, a form starts to materialize... a man who's come back from far away to open a passage to salvation... EL ETERNAUTA.
