Ice Cream Fall was supposed to be a dark romantic comedy about death and young love, but turned out a emotional, sobby and a bit experimental script about a girl and a boy.

It tells a story how they meet due to the boy dropping her ice cream cone on the ground. It doesn't tell the story of their year long relationship. It tells the separation and the sad end. The illness left untold and death.

When I write I see the 'complete film' in my mind's eye. This one I saw in multiple parts focusing on something else than the actual story. The whole thing also circles around a huge gap in the narrative. The point is to keep the viewer well in the dark but offer enough clues for interpretation and funny moments to make it a worthwhile watch.

Leaving the audience in the dark should be even annoying (from time to time). The film is supposed to invoke strong emotions: laughter, nostalgia of young love, sadness.
