A modern (slightly futuristic steampunky) tale, set in several cities in central Europe, where smart businessmen (of african origin) have created a network of "satellite-towns" on top of skyscrapers (unknowingly to the people in these cities and buildings) These places they equip to live in, grow crops and use to earn money, and ships it in clever ways to their families back home across the straight of Gibraltar.
"Hegira" is the arabic word used modernly for the african refugees strive to flee their continent in order of succeeding to come into rich Europe and get a life and work to be able to get a decent future for themselves. (derived from the profet Mohammeds expulsion from Mekka in year 622)

There are probably more than 200 refugees per night trying to take the dangerous water route into The fortress of EU.
Many die trying, and many gets sent back only to make them attempt another try.
I wish to spotlight this sad phenomenon with my story.
I needed to change the spelling so it is less ambigous, see hindu meaning of the word Hijra: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hijra_(South_Asia)
But then there is a pulp-fiction-sci-fi with the name Hegira, from 1974, so something will need to be done to the title later...
