A 3D music vid in Blender for an Australian Metal band named 'In Death'. The track is called 'Hellbound' and can be found here: http://www.reverbnation.com/indeath
This video is to celebrate their recent signing to a local indy lable, but so far, the lable has no affiliation with this project.
Imagine this:
(the following is a continuous shot. little to no obvious cuts at all)
Ext: Night. A vast forest full of ghoulish trees.
A light is seen. Creating volumetric shadow as it creeps past the trees. The light belongs to a car speeding down a dirt road.
The camera cranes up over the trees to reveal the pure size of the forest and tracks the car as it heads into darkness. We see the view catch up to the car and into to the interior.
The camera then slowly creeps between the front two seats, showing the cd player blasting the end of another of In Death's songs (the track for the last vid that was made). we breifly catch a glimpse of the drivers face as the camera moves into POV over the steering wheel.
A few seconds pass, the POV of our driver is distracted momentarily. His attention returns to the road but its too late.
A creature flashes infront of the car. We can't be sure if it was real. The driver's hands are seen trying to guide the vehicle out of harms way but as the car turns we see the world around it spinning. the car is has clearly lost its traction and is rolling violently into the forest. There is a large object in the path of the car, but just as the vehicle seems about to impact, ending all life around it we cut to:
A sillhouette of a man being emitted into view. It's our driver. He is staring at something.
The camera creeps around on its z axis from the horrified dirvers face to reveal an abstract, dark and very surrealistic circus marqee sitting amongst the peaceful trees. It's presence feels dominating. Destroying whatever beauty the forest holds.
Our driver cautiously paces towards the giant tent.
Inside we see a single circus ring floored by dirt and surrounded by dimly lit but empty seating.
In the centre is a phonebooth that looks like it has survived everything its world has thrown at it since the '40s. The reciever hangs below it's unit. swaying slightly as if just dropped there only seconds ago by some unknown or unseen person.
Our Driver feels somehow attracted to the Booth. He picks up the reciever and we hear the creeping intro of the song's drum track....
